Blog Facelifts
My friend Caitlin over at Hue & Hum contacted me to help her out with the design of her blog. She is an artist and her husband is a musician (hence, hue & hum) and you should follow her if you want some entertainment ( this last week was dubbed "naked Week" on her blog). Anyways, since she is an artist she had a pretty good sense of what she was looking for and she mostly needed me to do all the nerdy coding stuff. I forgot to take a screenshot of her blog before, but here is the after.

With Sara's blog, Caitlin also did the illustrations and I designed the layout. Here is the

Happy 2012
Wow. I cannot believe that it is 2012! The year has seriously flow by so fast, it almost scares me. 2011 was such a great year for me , so I am excited to see what 2012 will bring. This weekend I have been thinking a lot about how I can make the next year better. I 100% believe in setting goals, although, unless I write them down, I know that I will forget them! Here are some things i want to work on this year...
SPIRITUALLY:
Attend the temple more often, spend more time reflecting on spiritual thoughts.
PHYSICALLY:
Go to the gym 3x a week, eat out no more than 1x a week.
FINANCIALLY:
Live debt free!
EMOTIONALLY:
See the best in others, and myself.

Merry Christmas
Wow, I am so proud of myself for posting something right now... haha. It has been awhile. The Christmas season has proved to be busy, but great. I am so excited to continue celebrating this weekend. Merry Christmas from The Rapps!
P.S. You may have noticed that my blog got a little makeover... which was a result of me being bored one saturday afternoon. It still needs a little bit of work, but I have been digging simplistic designs lately.

Midnight Snack
So, the other night I was lying in bed around midnight and it suddenly hit me... i was starving! Normally I try to not eat to late, but my a sudden hunger pains convinced me to make an exception. Cute Sam popped right out of bed and said " I will be right back." Well, meanwhile I "pinned" on my phone, checked facebook, my email... he was taking forever! I mean, how long does it take to grab some oreos? Well, then he walks in and surprises me with this.
Toasted pita bread with garlic salt, fresh cut mozzarella cheese, tomato, and fresh Basil. Fancy. I was so shocked I couldn't stop laughing. And of course, his cute face made it even better.

On the Beach in SF
Today I was organizing some of my picture folders and came across this picture of Sam and I when we first started dating. Only a couple weeks after our first date, I moved to San Francisco for the summer. We knew from the very beginning that we liked each other. A lot. Which is why Sam eventually came out to visit me for my Birthday, and hence, the photo. This picture brings back a lot of memories of those crazy emotions that happen when you are first in love... I would have to say that even when this picture was taken, I had a hunch he was going to be my husband. Can you tell? :)

-Pumpkin bread. You are the reason I gain weight throughout the Holidays.
-Oh Yeah, and how could I forget, after many months of wishing and drooling every time I see one, I finally jumped in and got an iphone. I love it!

Chicago Part One
Oh, why hello blog! Let's just pretend that Sam and I went to Chicago last week instead of 4 months ago so I can feel like I actually keep up with this thing shall we? While Sam and I lived in Milwaukee we made the hour drive to Chicago, which is an amazingly fun city to walk around in... expensive... but fun! We enjoyed the food, shopping, industrial architecture, and of course, taking the classic jumping pictures. I even posted one of my awkward ones that was a result of a billion other pictures we took before I got the perfect shot so I could pretend that it only took one effortless jump. Well, I am not ashamed to say that it took me a good ten pics before I stumbled upon the last shot, then my husband got the perfect shot on his first try. Those husbands... always showing us up at things. But we really did fall in love Chicago. I can't say that there is any other city out there like it! The whole place just oozes the roaring 1920's. I wish i could have seen it back then! But I doubt that it has changed much... more pics to come.

Time to change things up...
So I tried the ombre hair thing this summer, but it was time to go back to brunette for the fall. I will post the final results once I get a chance to do my hair all cute... the good news is, my husband likes it!

How we almost missed Adele...
Hello little blog of mine. So, in my last post I asked a question to my readers, which was if they had any free fonts they loved... and the response? Nothing. It's ok, I fully realize that maybe 5 people actually read this blog, and probably 4 out of 5 of those readers are members of my family, so no feelings hurt. I have no idea how people build up their personal blog to have a bajillion readers! I think that they probably post a heck of a lot more than I do... and have giveaways, and take pictures of themselves in cute little outfits... which is something I don't really do either. So meanwhile I will just keep blogging for myself and my own record keeping, which is good enough for me. Anyways... funny story for you. So, my oldest sister Elysha bought concert tickets to Adele way back in May, but her concert got cancelled due to Adele being sick. It was rescheduled for this August and my sister was going to be out of town and couldn't go, so she offered us the tickets. Sam and I were MAJORLY tempted, but we have been trying to save up for a new computer so we reluctantly said no.... well, a few days ago I was playing around on my husband's phone, and noticed a texting conversation he had with my sister... and me being curious clicked on it to see what it was about, and found out Sam was going to surprise me with the tickets! I didn't want to ruin the surprise, so I decided I was going to let Sam "surprise" me anyways. The concert was on Sunday and all week I had been secretly excited to go... then Sunday came around and Sam and I got so busy with the day put the concert in the back of my mind. Around 6 while Sam was playing video games with my brother and I hopped on the computer, I suddenly remembered that the concert was suppose to start in an hour, and Sam hadn't said a thing! So I was in a predicament. Do I tell my husband I know about the concert and ruin the surprise? At that point I was convinced he had forgotten about the whole thing, so I went and told him about my sneaky ways.. and he said, " The concert's tonight? I thought that it was in a couple of weeks!" So we rushed downtown to the SOLD OUT concert at the Gallivan Center just in time to hear Adele rock it out. She was amaaaazing. I love her. And did you know she is only 23? She seems so much older! She is pretty funny too. And we almost missed the whole thing! Good thing me being a curious cat payed off.... this time. Ha. Here are some shots from the night.
and a little video of one of my favorite songs.

My Favorite Fonts
Lately I have been feeling that this subject deserved a blog post... I am always looking on blogs for new free fonts to download, so I thought I might pass along my favorites! Do you have any free fonts you love? (p.s. I thought I would try out my wacom tablet and make the header in my own handwriting. What do you think?)
