Merry Christmas

Wow, I am so proud of myself for posting something right now... haha. It has been awhile. The Christmas  season has proved to be busy, but great. I am so excited to continue celebrating this weekend. Merry Christmas from The Rapps!
P.S. You may have noticed that my blog got a little makeover... which was a result of me being bored one saturday afternoon. It still needs a little bit of work, but I have been digging simplistic designs lately.

Happy Belated Father's Day

Some things I love about my Dad are:
-How you prefer to be addressed as "Marcus Aurelius."
-How you take a trip to Costco just to eat samples
-How one Halloween you loved dressing as Spock so much you slept with your costume ears on.
-How you can remember the exact date and time of the Battle of the Bulge, but can't remember the name of my friend you met 10 times.
-How you can strike up a conversation with anyone about any topic, no matter how uncomfortable it makes them
-How you wear socks with sandals
-How you would rather be traveling than home.
-How you spend every Saturday afternoon at the movie theaters
-How you are always interested in all of your kids lives and love to hang out with them
-How you call me "your special Morg."

Happy Mother's Day

I know that I am a day late with this post, but I still wanted to give a shout out to my beautiful mother. She works so hard and has done so much for me. This year my sister Elysha surprised her by giving a talk in church yesterday about her. In preparation for it, she sent us a questionaire...

What are 3 words that best describe Mom?
brave, beautiful, faithful

What Motherly attribute has Mom taught you? Mom has taught me that every person is a child of God and deserves to be treated kindly and loved. When I think of my mom, I think of the scripture " ...Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me."- Matthew 25:40

What are 3 simple acts of kindness mom does for you regularly?
1. Mom has patience with me. For example, she understands that life can get crazy and even when I don't have time to clean my room, she is willing to give me the space and time I need. She is very understanding that way.
2. Mom encourages me to use my talents. Wither it's music, sports or art, she has always encouraged all of us to be involved in what we love and have fun.
3.When you need someone to talk to, mom will always have an open ear, no matter how crazy busy she might be. She will make time for you and is willing to give her advice.

Festival of Trees

Ok, so I know that I am behind, but I had forgotten about these pictures from the festival of trees! This year I had the pleasure of designing a tree along with my friend Heather for the company I work for. Although it was a lot more work than I thought, I was happy to be a part of the festival and to see it all come together. The art was donated by the amazing artist Liz Lemon Swindle. The festival was so crazy busy it was hard to even get a good shot of it!

This is the cutest car I have ever seen! I wanted it!

Halloween 2010

Have I ever mentioned that Halloween is one of my favorite Holidays? There is something so fun about this time of year. I love the fall smell, the fall colors, the fall weather... can't think of one thing bad about it. My sister and brother in law throw an awesome party at their house each year and since the last 2 years I was on my mission, I was way stoked to go! Now for the costumes...
Thanks for a great time Elysha and Russell!

Halloween Crafts

This is one of my favorite Halloween crafts from Martha Stewart. I didn't make them this year because of lack of time, but they are so fun and pretty! Since the past two years I have been a missionary for Halloween, I decided to post these pics from when I was in college. Flashback!

Fourth of July cupcakes!

Happy Fourth of July! Today has always been one of my favorite holidays... I love the barbecuing, watermelon, the fireworks... It's the epitome of summer in every way. I have been wanting to make these cupcakes for awhile now so I am happy that the 4th was my excuse! Can I just say this frosting is amazing! I may or may not have eaten it for breakfast this morning... not telling.
