One Month Anniversary

Today is our one month anniversary of being married...and I know what you might be thinking... it's kind of cheesy to celebrate your one month! No worries. I think that we might celebrate by going hot tubbing and watching prison break... nothing crazy. haha. But I can't believe how fast time has flown by already! Marriage is so much better than I even expected. It's just like hanging out with my best friend all of the time. It's fun getting to know each other a little bit better every day.  Here is a video of us playing together about a month before we got married. Enjoy!

Happy Mother's Day

I know that I am a day late with this post, but I still wanted to give a shout out to my beautiful mother. She works so hard and has done so much for me. This year my sister Elysha surprised her by giving a talk in church yesterday about her. In preparation for it, she sent us a questionaire...

What are 3 simple acts of kindness mom does for you regularly?

1. Mom has patience with me. For example, she understands that life can get crazy and even when I don't have time to clean my room, she is willing to give me the space and time I need. She is very understanding that way.
2. Mom encourages me to use my talents. Wither it's music, sports or art, she has always encouraged all of us to be involved in what we love and have fun.
3.When you need someone to talk to, mom will always have an open ear, no matter how crazy busy she might be. She will make time for you and is willing to give her advice.

Happy Cinco de Mayo!

Off to a party with my husband and all of the VIVENT boys... Kimber and I made the yummiest Queso! I will have to post the recipe one we get back reviews. :)

Moving to Milwaukee!

Ok, I have sooooo much to catch up on! Between getting married, going on our honeymoon to Cancun, and packing up our stuff to move to Milwaukee, let's just say life the last couple of weeks has been insanely crazy. I promise I will catch up once I have some downtown, but tomorrow morning Sam and I embark on a pretty long journey.... 22 hours and 27 minutes to be exact. Just hope we can entertain ourselves for the whole time! This might be the longest road trip I have ever been on. We are moving for the summer so we can make some moneys... wish us luck! I will post pics from the wedding, and honeymoon, and road trip soon. Promise!

Last Minute Wedding Details

Sorry for not writing more! These past couple of weeks have been crazy for me... well, I would even extend it to these last 4 months! I didn't have any idea how much was involved with wedding planning. It is all about the details, and there are a million of them! At the beginning I was really particular about how I wanted things to look, but now I am getting to the point of letting go and often find myself saying "that will work." So far I have been happy with how my projects have turned out, and I think in the end it will all come together well. Last week I found myself getting super stressed (again) about the reception, and then I realized that I hadn't been focusing  on the most important thing... the fact that I am getting married in the temple to the most amazing man I know! As long as that happens, I am golden. Anyways, here is a sneak peek of some recent wedding stuff... can't believe I will be Mrs. Rapp in 2 days!

The weekend...

This weekend has to be my favorite of the year because of Conference! I am so excited to listen to the Prophet and 12 Apostles this weekend. One of my goals this time is to take notes, REALLY pay attention, and do my best to apply the things I learn into my life. Here are some sketches that my co-worker's wife Roxy drew from last year's Conference... aren't they cool?

Lately

Holy cow... lately I have literally been a crazy person. People tell you when you get engaged, pretty soon we will be hoping that we just eloped, and I would always courteously laugh and say "sure", but now I understand what people were talking about! Wedding planning really is stressful stuff... mostly because this last month my family was in South America and I was trying to get things in order while working three jobs. It has been total craziness. For the last few months I have done SOMETHING wedding related every day! I am not trying to complain, but it's just that this last week has proved especially stressful getting invites out, finishing my dress fittings, taking bridals, ect. ect. However, today I am in a much better place and think that I most of it figured out at this point... Thanks to cute Sam, I am feeling much better and am now just getting more and more excited for the big day. It really has come up faster than I thought it would! Just wanted to post some photos from all the recent fun/craziness. I just downloaded the lo-fi camera app. I am in love with it in case you can't tell!

My Wedding Website!

I know that there are some wedding website services out there, but I wasn't able to find one that came even close to what I was looking for. So many of them are very cookie cutter in their style and design. I also wanted it to be consistent with my invitations designed by my good friend Jayne, so I decided to be adventurous and build my own wedding website!  I thought that it would only take a few hours, but I had a lot to learn and let's just say it took me a lot longer than that. However, I am finally done with it and I am pretty happy with how it turned out! I don't think that it's too bad considering it's my first website. So hop on over to SamandMorgan.com and look around!
